Wow what a great little off the road restaurant. Staff was fabulous and food was great.

The Outpost is a convenient store with a restaurant attached to it. The store itself is open from 9 AM to about 5, or till the restaurant closes which is around 8 or 9 PM. The convenient store is open 7 Days a week and they have your basic essentials expected. See photo. We met the owner and he's an awesome guy.

Good food at a great price. Stopped in while visiting family and the food did not disappoint. Had Pulled pork tacos, Cheese curds, burnt ends, and steakhouse burger. All the food was great the restaurant was clean and had a great atmosphere. 10/10 would visit again.

They have a sliced sirloin burger with grilled onions and provolone cheese that I've had each time I've gone. And it was on special with a twist; hoagie bun and au jus - WOW! Nice twist on a favorite! Better half had a Mac&cheese with burnt ends - OUTSTANDING!

We were told about this little restaurant and it's delicious food, it didn't disappoint. The steak sandwich is cooked with caramelized onions and has a very good flavor. I chose fries as a side and again, was not disappointed. The sandwich is a generous portion, enough for one hungry guy, a couple of our guests shared their order. I ordered a frozen strawberry margarita and it was good, probably wouldn't order it again. We didn't make time to drive around the lake, which is literally just across the road, we definitely plan on going back. I recommend this unique little restaurant if you want to get out of town. Very good service, our food was well prepared and fast service. Incidentally, there's a nice deck in front with outdoor seating, it'll be a great option on a nice day.

Perfect hub for all things Cheney State Park…the atmosphere was chill and almost no people this time of year, but the service was amazing and very personable! Burger and Reuben were great! Next time triple chocolate cake! Great selection of food, easy parking and central to all campgrounds! Will visit again!

Best little hidden gem in Kansas!!! The food is better than 5-star quality!! The employees are very attentive, polite, and very friendly.
